The first thing to do is get rid of the 7 by subtracting 7 from each side. Don't mess with the 3 yet!!

7-7-3|4d -7|>4-7
-3|4d-7|>-3

Next, divide both sides by -3, which REVERSES the inequality! Don't forget to do that!
|4d-7|<1

Now, I'm not sure which method you would use to finish this. I guess write it like this:
-1 <4d-7<1

Add + 7 to each of the 3 parts of the inequality:
-1+7 <4d < 1 + 7
6 <4d <8

Divide by 4
6/4 < d <8/4
3/2 < d < 2
