You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You are correct. Remember that if log%28b%2C%28x%29%29=log%28b%2C%28y%29%29, then x=y

In your case, since log%288%2C%283x%2B7%29%29=log%288%2C%287x%2B4%29%29, this means 3x%2B7=7x%2B4

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
log8 (3x+7) = log8 (7x+4)
-------------------
If the logs (with the same base) are equal, then the expressions are equal.
3x+7 = 7x+4
4x = 3
x = 3/4
--------
3x+7 = 37/4
7x+4 = 37/4
