Assume it's (brackets would help alot)
%28%28a%2B1%29%29%2F6 = 2%2Fa
Cross multiply
a(a+1) = 2*6
a^2 + a = 12
a^2 + a - 12 = 0
Factor
(a-3)(a+4) = 0
a=-4
a=+3

:
5%2F%28%283x%2B1%29%29 = 3%2F%28%283x-1%29%29
cross multiply
5(3x-1) = 3(3x+1)
15x - 5 = 9x + 3
15x - 9x = 3 + 5
6x = 8
