Factor:
3x(x-4) = 0
x = 0 or x = 4

3x%5E2-+12x=0 solve for x

Factor out 3x on the left

3x%28x-+4%29=0

The two factors are 3x and x-4

Set each equal to zero:

Setting the first factor = 0:

3x=0
3x%2F3=0%2F3
x=0

Setting the second factor = 0:

x-4=0
x=4

So there are two solutions, x=0 and x=4
