First you need to add 6 to both sides;
2%2F9v-6+6=14+6
2%2F9v=20
Now divide each side by the riciporcal of 2%2F9, which is 9%2F2;
2%2F9v(9%2F2)=20(9%2F2)
v=180%2F2
v=90
