Try this:
The perimeter of a triangle is equal to the sum of the lengths of the three sides, so...
P = 2x+(2x-4)+(2x-4) Combine the x's.
P = 6x-8 Substitute P = 76.
76 = 6x-8 Add 8 to both sides.
84 = 6x Divide both sides by 6.
x = 14
2x = 28
2x-4 = 24
The three sides are:
28cm, 24cm, and 24cm.
