Let the angle be A so its complement is 90-A.
A = 3(90-A) Simplify.
A = 270-3A Add 3A to both sides.
4A = 270 Divide both sides by 4.
A = 67.5 degrees.
The complement is 90-67.5 = 22.5 degrees.
