: Can I please get some help with these problems?
Perform indicated operation reduce to the lowest term
4/9 - 1/9
a + 7/a - 4 + 9 - 5a/a - 4
3/x + 1 + 2/x - 1

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Perform indicated operation reduce to the lowest term
4/9 - 1/9 = 3/9 = 1/3
----------------------------------
(a + 7)/(a - 4) + (9 - 5a)/(a - 4)
[a+7+9-5a]/(a-4) = (16-4a)/(a-4) = (-4(a-4))/(a-4) = -4
----------------------------------
3/(x + 1) + 2/(x - 1)
= [3(x-1)+2(x+1)]/[(x+1)(x-1)]
= [5x-1]/[x^2-1]
------------------------
2/(x -3) + 3/(3 - x)
---
= 2/(x-3)-3/(x-3)
---
= (2-3)/(x-3)
= -1/(x-3)
