You can put this solution on YOUR website!
There are 220 barrels of cement in one shed and 510 barrels in another shed. How many barrels must be transferred from the second to the first shed so that the first hed will contain two-tirds as much as the secondshed?

Let the amount of barrels to be transferred be T

Then new amount in 1st shed would be 220 + T, and amount remaining in 2nd shed would be 510 - T

Since after the transfer, the first first shed will contain 2%2F3 of the amount in the second shed, then we'll have:
%282%2F3%29%2A%28510+-+T%29+=+220+%2B+T -----> %281020+-+2T%29%2F3+=+220+%2B+T

1020 - 2T = 660 + 3T (Multiplying by LCD, 3)

- 5T = - 360

T+=+%28-360%29%2F-5 = highlight_green%2872%29 barrels to be transferred.

I'll leave you to do the check. Okay?
