Question 207452This question is from textbook
: i understand how to do mean and median but i am very confused on sum of squared deviations, variance, and standard deviations. So if you could please show every detail on how you got those so i can try to understand it to do the rest of my homework that would be great thanks!
For the following scores, find the A)Mean, B)Median, C) sum of squared deviations, D) variance, and E)standard deviation:
2,2,0,5,1,4,1,3,0,0,1,4,4,0,1,4,3,4,2,1,0
Thank you so much for the help

You can put this solution on YOUR website! a) Mean- 2
b) Median- 2
c) Sum of squared deviaton-52
d) Variance-2.47
e) Standard Deviation- 1.57
To get the sum of squared deviation subtract the mean from each score which will give you each score's deviation score then square each of these scores. Add up the squared deviation scores and you have the sum of squared deviation scores. Divide the sum of the squared deviation scores by the number of scores and you will have the variance. The square root of the variance is the standard deviation.
