You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6a%2B8b Start with the given expression.

6%284%2F5%29%2B8%283%2F5%29 Plug in a=4%2F5 and b=3%2F5

%286%2A4%29%2F5%2B%288%2A3%29%2F5 Multiply the fractions

24%2F5%2B24%2F5 Multiply

%2824%2B24%29%2F5 Combine the fractions. This is possible since the fractions have equal denominators.

48%2F5 Add

So 6a%2B8b=48%2F5 when a=4%2F5 and b=3%2F5

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6a+8b
6(4/5)+8(3/5)
24/5+24/5=48/5=9 3/5
Remember that the 6 and the 8 are the same as 6/1 and 8/1
and you can multiply fractions directly without common denominators.
Then just add the fraction because 5 is your common denomintor for this addition.
