Observe the two factors I've colored red
(f+4)(2f-3) + (f+4)(f+4)
You can factor out that red factor (f+4) because it is common to
both terms. That will leave the two black factors inside the blue
brackets:
(f+4)[(2f-3) + (f+4)]
Now simplify by removing parentheses inside the blue brackets
(f+4)[2f-3+f+4]
(f+4)[3f+1]
Change the blue brackets to black parentheses and color the red
factor black:
(f+4)(3f+1)
