Question 206394: without writing the equation in standard form state whether the equation is a HYPERBOLA, PARABOLA, CIRCLE OR AN ELLIPSE 9y2+ 18y= 25x2+216
i am completely lost with this one and i really have no idea what it is i guess im having a brain fart. :/ but if i were to guess i would say that it is an ellipse.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
without writing the equation in standard form state whether the equation is a HYPERBOLA, PARABOLA, CIRCLE OR AN ELLIPSE 9y2+ 18y= 25x2+216
---------
If you get the x^2 and y^2 terms on the same side, it's the difference (x^2 - y^2).
That makes it a hyperpola.
