Perimeter of the rectangle is = 2 ( l + b ) ,where l is the length and b is the breath of the rectangle.
Let b be the width of the rectangle.
Given, l = 2 b - 5.
Also perimeter = 230 ft.
Therefore, 2 (2b - 5 + b ) = 230
2 ( 3b - 5) = 230
6b-10=230
6b=240
b=40.
l=2(40)-5=80-5=75.
Hence, l = 75 and b= 40
