start by putting variable(b's)on left and numbers on right
there is a small but important rule to remember:
CHANGE THE SIDE CHANGE THE SIGN like this
-7b+10b=-15+17 do the sums to get
3b=2 we now need to divide both sides by 3 to isolate b
b=2%2F3which is your answer
