width = w
rectangular's perimeter = 900
2l + 2w = 900
divide each side by 2:
l + w = 450
l = 450 - w
rectangular's surface area = 50,000
l * w = 50,000
(450 - w) * w = 50,000
450w - w^2 = 50,000
w^2 - 450w + 50,000 = 0
(w - 250)*(w - 200) = 0
w = 250 or w = 200
if w = 250 then l = 450 - 250 = 200
so the sides of the store room are 250 ft and 200 ft
