Question 204501: I would like to know if I did these questions right.

For the first one I have this:

Do exponential functions only model phenomena that grow, or can they also model phenomena that decay?
Explain what is different in the form of the function in each case.
Yes they also model decay, for example you can use them to model the decay of radioactivity. The only difference is that there will be a negative index.

Example of function of growth: y = ae^(kt)
Example of function of decay: y = ae^(-kt)

And for the second one I have:

A cell divides into two identical copies every 4 minutes. How many cells will exist after 5 hours?
f(t) = 2^(t/4)
after 5 hours: 5 * 60 = 300
f(t) = 2^(300/4)
f(t) = 2^75
f(t) = 3.78(10^22)

Are these correct and if not can you please explain them to me
