Question 204470: Classify the following systems of equations as consistent, inconsistent, or dependent WITHOUT using any of the previous methods. (graphing, elimination, substitution)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Classify the following systems of equations as consistent, inconsistent, or dependent WITHOUT using any of the previous methods. (graphing, elimination, substitution)
(4x + 3y = 7 )
(2x – y = 10)
--------------------
Rewrite in slope-intercept form:
y = (-4/3)x + (7/3)
y = 2x - 10
--------------------
The slopes are different so the lines intersect at one point.
Therefore the system is consistent.
