 .
 square  both  sides
 .
 (x+6) = (x+2)(x+2)= x^2 +4x +4
 .
 0= x^2 +3x -2
 .
 Using  quadratic  formula,,,a=1,,b=3,,,c=(-2)
 .
 x= [ -3 +/- sqrt{ 3^2 -4*1*-2} ] / (2*1)
 .
 x= [ -3+/- sqrt17]/2
 .
 x=.562,,,-3.562
 .
 checking  (x=.562),,,sqrt(.562+6) -(2) -(.562) =0,,,ok
 (x=-3.562),,,sqrt(-3.562+6) -2 -(-3.562)=3.123 not=0,,,,,not  ok
