Question 202876: Hi I need help with a length question in geometry please.
On the blueprint of a house, 28 millimeters represents 5 meters. The length of the living room is 49 millimeters on the blueprint. What is the actual length of the living room?
I haven't had a question like this before, so I don't know how 28mm represents 5m? confused.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! On the blueprint of a house, 28 millimeters represents 5 meters. The length of the living room is 49 millimeters on the blueprint. What is the actual length of the living room?

Use a proportion:
x/49mm = 5m/28mm
x = 49(5/28)
x = 8.75 meters
