You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To solve for x we need to isolate it. IOW get it by itself.
First we will get it out of the denominator by multiplying both sides by that denominator:

This gives:
983.77+%2B+491.885x+=+1000
Next we'll subtract 983.77 fropm both sides:
491.885x+=+16.23
Next we will divide both sides by 491.885:
x+=+%2816.23%29%2F%28491.885%29+=+0.0329955172448845

Since the above answer looks so unusual I wonder if the problem was supposed to be:
983.77+=+1000%2F%281+%2B+sqrt%28x%29%29
To solve this we will start with similar steps. Multiply to eliminate the fraction:

giving
983.77+%2B+983.77sqrt%28x%29+=+1000
Subtract 983.77
983.77sqrt%28x%29+=+16.23
Divide by 983.77
sqrt%28x%29+=+%2816.23%29%2F%28983.77%29+=+0.0164977586224422
And finally square both sides:
%28sqrt%28x%29%29%5E2+=+%280.0164977586224422%29%5E2
x+=+0.0002721760395644
Also an unusual answer. Either one of these answers is correct or I have misunderstood the problem. If I misunderstood please repost:
  • Use "^" to indicate exponents. Like x^2 means "x squared" or x^(1/2) means "square root of x"
  • Use "*" for multiplication
  • Use parentheses freely to ensure that the problem can be correctly interpreted.
