Question 202340: Alg 2: How can i find the slope and an equation of a line with only the y-intercept and one point .. for example y-intercept= -2; passing through (-3,4)? Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
If you have the -intercept and another point, you have two points. Since the -intercept is the value of where the graph of the line intersects the -axis, the -coordinate of that point must be zero, hence one of your points is (0,-2) and the other is (-3,4).
