You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Simply plug in x=2 and y = -3 into 4x+5y=-7 and simplify. If the two sides of the equation are equal, then the ordered pair (2, -3) is a solution.
I still am not understanding how the problem is done. I'm really lost!
x=2+5=7 not -7 and y=-3+4=1 so how does that makes the equation equal? or do you make it x=-2 + -5=-7 and y=-3 + -4=-7?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4x+%2B+5y+=+-7 Start with the given equation.

4%282%29+%2B+5%28-3%29+=+-7 Plug in x=2 and y=-3

8+-15+=+-7 Multiply

-7+=+-7 Subtract

Since the equation is true, this means that (2, -3) is an ordered pair solution.
