1: equation: x-4y=6
find x if y = 1/4
find y if x = -2
present the solutions as ordered pairs.
2: find the slop and the y-intercept of the line represented by the equation.
7x + y = 8

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1) x-4y=6
x-4(1/4)=6
x-1=6
x=5
(5,1/4)
-------------------
-2-4y=6
-4y=6+2
+4y=-6-2
y=-4
(-2,-4)

2) 7x+y=8
The y int is when x is 0
y=8
(0,8)
Slope=-7
