You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the point-slope equation of a line that has a slope of 3/4 and passes through the point(-6,-2). Then, solve for y.
------------------------
Form: y = mx + b
You are told that m=3/4 and that y = -2 when x = -6
So substitute those values to solve for "b":
-2 = (3/4)(-6) + b
Multiply thru by 4 to get:
-8 = -18 + 4b
4b = 10
b = 5/2
=================
Equation:
y = (3/4)x + (5/2)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=mx+b
y=(3/4)x+10/4
-8/4=3/4(x)+10/4
3/4x=10/4+8/4
3/4x+18/4
x=(-18/4)/(3/4)
x=(-18/4)(4/3)=-6
(-6)(-2)
