You can put this solution on YOUR website! Find the vertex and intercepts. f(x)=2x^2+4x-6
Set equal to zero. The x-intercepts are at f(x) (or y) = 0
2x^2+4x-6 = 0
x^2 + 2x - 3 = 0
(x+3)*(x-1) = 0
x = -3
x = 1
Those are the x-intercepts, or zeroes, of the function.
-----------------
For the y-intercept, let x = 0
f(0) = -3
-----------
The vertex is at x = -b/2a
x = -2/2 = -1
f(-1) = -4
--> the vertex at (-1,-4)
