just rough plot a few points using b as 10 (standard log base).

at x =0, y= - infinity, at x=1, y=0, and at x=10, y=1

now the real info is that the inverse of the log is y= b^x
.
if we plot that graph, at x=- infinity, y=0, at x=0, y=1, and at x=1, y=10
