You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First find the area of the rectangular lawn:
A+=+%2816%29%2A%2870%29
A+=+1120 sq.yds. Next, convert this into sq.ft by multiplying by 9 sq.ft. per sq.yd.
A+=+%281120%29%2A%289%29
A+=+10080sq.ft. Now divide this by 525 sq.ft to find the number of bags (B) of fertilizer required.
B+=+10080%2F525
B+=+19.2 Round this the nearest integer since you can't buy fractional bags of fertilizer.
B+=+20bags. Finally, multiply the number of bags (20) by the cost of each bag ($5.75) to get the total cost (C) of fertilizing the lawn.
C+=+%2820%29%2A5.75%29
C+=+115
The total cost that Sam will pay is $115.00 and he will have some fertilizer left when he's finished.
