Question 198944: {-3x + y = 4
{-x + y = -2
Found 3 solutions by pannalal, checkley75, jojo14344: Answer by pannalal(9) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Given Equations:
[1] -3x + y = 4
[2] -x + y = -2
-3x + y = 4 ..........(1)
-x + y = -2 ..........(2)
On Subtracting Eq(2) from Eq(1), we get:
-2x = 6 ..............(3)
From Eq(3), we get:
x = -3 ...............(4)
On Substituting value of x in Eq(1), we get:
-3*(-3) + y = 4
y = -5 ...............(5)
Summary:
x = -3
y = -5
