The function is in slope-intercept form, therefore:

The slope is the coefficient on .

The constant term is the -coordinate of the -intercept.

The function is in slope intercept form. So the slope is the coefficient of the x term. So the slope is -8. To find the y-intercept, substitute 0 for x in the function. So when x = 0, y = -8*0-10 = -10. The y-intercept is (0,-10).

SOL:
Equation of the line having slope m and making an intercept c on y axis is y=mx+c
y=mx+c is straight line
it cuts y axis at the point (0,c)
m is the slope
let f(x)=y
f(x)=-8x-10
y=-8x-10
comparing this with y=mx+c
here m=-8,c=-10
slope=-8,y-intercept(0,c)=(0,-10)
