Question 198787: Linear relationship between two quantities can be described by an equation or an graph. Which one is more informative and why? Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
In general, you cannot say that an equation is more informative than a graph or vice versa.
To say that a thing is informative presumes that there is a question being asked that the thing is capable of answering. A graph answers some questions better than an equation. An equation answers other questions better than a graph.
So the answer to your question is "Neither or both" for the reasons stated.
