Question 198588: 9{[5(c-4)+15]-[3(5c-2)+4]}=
I have been working on problems lke this one for the last couple of days. Can you please help me understand what Im doing here and how to get the correct answer. Im easily confused with this type of problem but appreciate ANY help on getting me to understand it. Thanks, Kristie Answer by arallie(162) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hey Kristie
Quick lesson for you.
Order of operations first
Inside most parentheses first, distribute the 5 into c-4 and 3 into 5c-2.
Simplify the -20 with +15 and -6 with +4.
Parentheses again, distribute the -1 with 15c-2.
Simplify, 5c with -15c and -5 with +2.
Distribute the 9.
Anymore questions feel free to ask me.
