You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The diagonal is the hypotenuse of an equilateral right triangle
Let a be one of the sides.
2a^2=c^2
2a^2=(10sqrt(2))^2
2a^2=200
a^2=100
a=10
.
Area of the square=a^2=100 sq units
