You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3(6+5y)=2(-5+4y)
3%2A6%2B3%2A5y=2%2A-5%2B2%2A4y
18+15y=-10+8y
15y-8y=-10-18
7y=-28
7y%2F7=%28-28%29%2F7
y=-4

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Step 1: distribute to get rid of the parenthesis
3%286%2B5y%29=2%28-5%2B4y%29 becomes %283%2A6%29%2B%283%2A5y%29=%282%2A-5%29%2B%282%2A4y%29 which becomes 18%2B15y=-10%2B8y
Step 2: use inverse operations to get the variable alone on one side of the equation and the constants on the other side.
-subtract 18 from each side so 18%2B15y=-10%2B8y becomes -18%2B18%2B15y=-10%2B8y-18 which becomes 15y=-28%2B8y
-subtract 8y from each side so 15y-8y=-28%2B8y-8y becomes 7y=-28
-divide both sides by 7 so 7y%2F7=-28%2F7 becomes your solution y=-4
I hope this helps!
