Question 197169: If one has the measurement of the three sides of a triangle, how can one determine if the triange is real or not. The sides i have are 16, 18, and 35.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! In order for a triangle to be "connected", the sum of any two sides must be greater than the length of the remaining side. If the third side is longer than the sum of the two other sides, the triangle could not exist.
So, look at the three given sides. Add two and see if the third is shorter. Do that for all three possible combinations.
In this case, the lengths do not satisfy the requirement (16+18)=34, which is less than the 35.
