One way to do this is use man-hours, if it takes 10 people 15 hrs:
10*15 = 150 man-hrs to complete the job

Let x = no. of hrs for 12 people to do the job, using man-hrs
12x = 150
x = 150/12
x = 12.5 hrs for 12 people to do the job

Check: find the man-hrs, 12 people for 12.5 hrs
12 * 12.5 = 150 man-hrs which would complete the job
