You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sol:
3x+y= -5
subtract 3x on both sides
3x+y-3x= -5-3x
y= -5-3x
substitute this value in x-2y=3
x-2*(-5-3x)=3
x-(2*-5-2*3x)=3
x-(-10-6x)=3
x+10+6x=3
7x+10=3
subtract 10 on both sides
7x+10-10=3-10
7x=-7
dividing by 7 on both sides
7x/7= -7/7
x=-1
substitute this value in 3x+y=-5
3*(-1)+y=-5
-3+y=-5
ading 3 on both sides
-3+y+3=-5+3
y= -2
