You can put this solution on YOUR website! FOIL is a simplified form of distribution, used only on 2 term x 2 term problems

F stands for First, multiply first terms

O stands for outside. multiply outside terms

I stands for inside, multiply inside terms
,
L stands for Last, multiply last terms
,
an example might help

(x+1) (x+2) = F= x*x = x^2

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I = x*1 = x
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,L = 1*2 =2
