Question 19448: 5(X-7)squared = 135

Thank you. Answer by wuwei96815(245) (Show Source):
5(x-7)^2 = 135
(x-7)^2 = 135/5 = 27
Take the square root of each side of the equation:
x-7 = square root of 27 = square root of 9 times 3 = 3 times (square root of 3)
x = 3times(square root of 3)+7
I hope that is right? You cannot add 3 and 7 together because 3 is not an independent term. 3 is part of the term "3times(square root of 3)".
