You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve the system of equations:
1) x%2B5y+=+3
2) x+=+5-5y Substitute this into equation 1) for x and solve for y.
1a) %285-5y%29-5y+=+3 Simplify.
1b) 5+=+3 Not so!!! There is no solution to this sytem of equations.
These two equations represent parallel lines.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1)
x+5y=3
5y=3-x
y=3/5 - x/5
.
2)
x=5-5y
-5y=x-5
y=1 - x/5
.
Since the slopes are equal (-x/5) but y in equation 1) is not equal to y in equation 2) then there is no answer to the system because the lines are parallel.
