Question 193964: I'm not sure if this goes here, but anything without set equations is a word problem to me. Can someone help me?
The width of a rectangle is fixed at 25cm. What lengths will make the perimeter greater than 90cm?
Thanks!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
formula for perimeter is Perimeter = 2Length + 2Width
,
P = 2l +2(25) = 2l +50
but perimeter >90
2l +50 > 90
2l > 40
l>20 ,,,,,,,, ANSWER
,
check
l>20=21, P=2l +2w = 2(21) +2 (25) = 92, ok
