Hockey teams receive 2 points when they win and 1 point when they tie. One season a team won a championship with 62 points. They won 10 more games then they tied. How many wins did the team have? How many ties?

Tie=1 pt
62 = Total points
T+10=W
Operation :
2W+1T=62
2(T+10)+1T=62
2T +20+1T=62
3T=42
T=14
but W=T+10=14+10=24
checking
2*24+1*14=62
48+14=62
62=62 ok
