when we have fractions, safest thing to do is to multipy eqn by lcd to clear
2.5/x +3/5 = 2/x
multiply by ( 5x )
2.5 (5) +(3x) = 2 (5)
12.5 +3x=10
subt 12.5 both sides
3x = - 2.5
divide by 3 both sides
x= (-2.5/3)=-(5/6) =-.833
check
2.5/(-.833) +3/5 = 2/(-.833)
-3 +.6=-2.4
-2.4 =-2.4 ok
