Today in class we learned that the foci meant the same term as focus.
I have been struggling with this problem.
This what I have tried so far.
x%5E2%2B9y%5E2=1
I tried dividing everything by one therefore I would get
x%5E2%2F1%2By%5E2%2F9=1
a=9
b=1
c=4+root+5
However it just isn't working out so I do not know if I have making a small mistake. This question is from textbook

a = 1 ; b = 1/3

a^2 = b^2+c^2

1 = (1/9) + c^2
c = sqrt(8/9) = (2/3)sqrt(2)
