Original Kinetic energy:
Ek = (1/2)*mv^2
Ek = (1/2)*1*10^2 = 50
---------------------------
If you double Ek you get 100
100 = (1/2)mv^2
200 = 1*v^2
v = sqrt(200) = 10sqrt(2) = 10*1.414 is appoximately 14 m/s
