You can put this solution on YOUR website! A red, a blue, and a green die are tossed. Let (r,b,g) represent each outcome.
a.how many elements are in the sample space?
Assuming that each of the die has the numbers 1 thru 6, there are
6^3 = 216 elements in the sample space
----------------------------------------------------
b. specify the event that all three dice show the same number
1,1,1 or 2,2,2 or .....or 6,6,6
----------------------------------------------------
c. specify the event that the sum of numbers showing on the red and blue dice is less than the number showing on the green die.
There are many, such as
1,1,3; 1,1,4;,1,1,5; 1,1,6
1,2,4; 1,2,5; 1,2,6
etc.
