5x+3y=8 mult. by -2
2x+4y=8 mult. by 5 & add.
-10x-6y=-16
10x+20y=40

14y=24
y=24/14
y=12/7 ans.
2x+4(12/7)=8
2x+48/7=8
2x=8-48/7
2x=(8*7-48)/7
2x=(56-48)/7
2x=8/7
x=(8/7)/2
x=8/7*1/2
x=8/14
x=4/7 ans.
ANSWER (4/7, 12/7)
