Question 188908: A square pyramid with a height of 12 inches and the base is a square with side length 10 inches. Compute the surface area and volume of the object.
I missed this question. I used V= 1/3bh and A=1/2bh and I dont know where I messed up at.
Thankyou for your time.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Surface area is what they are looking for:
:
Surface Area of Pyramid = s² + 2sl = A + 2sl
Volume of Pyramid = (1/3)b²h
:
where s is the side, h height, l slant height
:
slant height:l=sqrt%285%5E2%2B12%5E2%29=sqrt%28169%29=13
:
SA=10%5E2%2B2%2810%29%2813%29=360 sq in
:
V=1/3(10)(12)=360 cu in
