Question 188547: Write a binomial that has terms with GCF of 4a.
Answer by ilana(307) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! I binomial is usually of the form cx+d. So something like 4x+5. If you want the GCF to be 4a, you just need to make sure 4a is a factor of both bx and c, and that there is no greater factor common to both. So I would say something like 4ax+8a. Then you can factor out 4a to get 4a(x+2), and you cannot factor anything else from x+2. So 4ax+8a is a binomial with a GCF of 4a.
