I'M ASSUMING YOUR PROBLEM IS:
(Two and one fifth)x-three fourths= minus four and one-half OK?
2 is 10/5 and 4 is 8/2 so now we will rewrite the equation
(11/5)x-3/4=-(9/2) multiply each term by 20
44x-15=-90 add 15 to each side
44x-15+15=-90+15 collect like terms
44x=-75 divide each side by 44
x=-75/44 you can divide it out if you wish

(11/5)(-75/44)-3/4=-9/2
-15/4-3/4=-9/2
-18/4=-9/2
-9/2=-9/2
